I have 3 21 week old cockerels. They were flock mates from hatching. Once they sorted out their pecking order they did fairly well together with only a few spats. One cockerel decided to live outside the coop for a week, only occasionally visiting. My top cockerel (Aragorn) is much bigger, stronger, smarter, more alert, and better flock manager than the other two. One of the other roosters (Mr.Handsome) is okay but Aragorn definitely has had an edge above them. He's been the epitome of an upcoming good rooster. Two days ago the cockerel, Mr. Handsome, outside of the coop returned, they had a fight and he won. This was surprising because he's never been able to overcome my top cockerel. Today the other cockerel is also challenging Aragorn and he has been a timid nervous guy up until now. Aragorn acts down which is strange. I'm wondering if this is normal for a recently beaten rooster or if I should be concerned if he is ill. He has some tiny black dots come on his comb but not sure if it is scabs from fighting. Thank you in advance for your help.

Mine have switched roles before I would make sure the black dots are scabs and not fowl pocks and if they are just scabs I wouldn't be to surprised if they do it again i have 8roos in my main coop they have their spats here and there but for the most part king Rooroo is still king and he is the smallest one of them all the white one is Victor and the little one is King Rooroo Victor is the biggest King Rooroo, Rocki, Snow Show, Corporal, Commander, Albert and Beaker are all bantams

Thanks for responding! My niece is going to check him for Avian Pox later today. He has been ran out of the chicken run so I'm going to keep him separated until know for sure. The spots do look a good bit like scabbing today. I hope that's all it is. We will see. Your chickens are lovely!

Pictures? How do they compare in terms of relative weight (thickness of breast a good estimate)?
Here are some pictures. He's still acting a good bit cowardly today. He was fearless a few days ago. Cockerel dynamics are confusing. 🤦‍♀️
