Rooster Question

Im new to this, so please bear with me....... In a mixed flock of brown egg layers, does the type of rooster make a huge difference? And for the "Easter Egg" layers, will I have to have a Araucana rooster to keep the offspring laying easter eggs also?, or will any rooster do.

First off,

You can get any kind of rooster you like, the girls won't care.

I Have a Partridge cochin roo with my mixed flock and he fathered some babies with my late EE hen. A good friend of mine hatched the babies at her house. One of the babies started laying and the eggs are green!! I am not sure how often that happens or how it works, but the EE was my only green egg layer and now her offspring lay green eggs!
