Rooster Question

How long will a rooster remain a healthy mate for hens? At what age does he stop producing?

Also, after how long of a roo being in a flock should the eggs begin to be fertile?

Roosters remain fertile for several years, probably as long as they are mating effectively.

I'm pretty sure eggs are fertile within a day or two.
