This Rooster( right? ) is a little over a month old. It is a barnyard mix. I’m pretty sure it’s a roo....... am I right? Is there no hope? I was just checking because the other two roos( same breed) are same age but have much larger combs. But this ones is redder. So I have no clue.

Also the other barnyard mix that is the same “breed” has different colored legs. Why? His are bright orange an this one is a yellow-greenish.

This one is probably male, if the comb is redder than the combs of the other males.

Chickens can have different shapes of combs: single comb is most common, and looks biggest when the chicks are young. I'm guessing this chick probably has a pea comb or a rose comb. Either of those combs would look small while the chick is young, and probably even when it is grown up.

Different colored legs are caused by different genes.

The one that looks the "same" might actually have a different set of parents, or might just have different genes from the same parents (like how human brothers & sisters can have different hair colors and different eye colors even when they have the same parents.)
