I have a flock of about 14 hens with two roosters who are brothers but have become too rough with the hens (I know, not enough hens). Anyway, I have decided to rotate a single more gentlemenly rooster into the flock and remove the brothers. I have a small brooder pen (3 X5) and a tractor which has a little more room but currently the tractor is holding the rooster I plan on integrating into the flock with a single hen. Both the hen and the rooster had previously been in with the flock but I moved them because the brothers were getting too rough with the single rooster. Will the two boys be okay in a 3X5 pen without hens for a few days until I get the single rooster integrated? If not, I will just have to switch in the middle of the night and hope the rooster and his hen are okay come morning. the 14 hens have a 10X14 stall with plenty of roosts as well as a small yard (14X 40). My concern is that in that close of quarters the two brothers will duke it out even without hens.
