I noticed earlier this week that my roo smells like bad body oder. My chickens smell fine. I have only had my flock a few months and have put them together from different sources and the roo is the only smelly one. He seems healthy and happy. I checked him for mites and did not see any. I check the hens about once a week and have not found any mites on any of the birds. Do some birds just stink, or is it because it is a roo or does an oder normally mean there is an illness?
I have 5 bantams in a coop with a run and 4 younger birds seperated in a brooder and all areas are kept pretty clean.
