I noticed my rooster was standing on one leg a lot. I looked closer at his feet. Are they ok? I don’t know if I’m being paranoid or if something is wrong. None of the chickens feet look like this besides his. They look extra scaly and one of his toes doesn’t look right. Is it frostbite or maybe scaly leg mites?

Can you take him in, wash the feet really well. See if you can take a soft toothbrush or something and gently scrub that toe some.
Look to see if there is a string or something wrapped around the toe. It may just be cut. It doesn't really look like frostbite to me, more of an injury. He may still lose the tip of the toe though.
His scales look pretty rough and beat up, so while you are cleaning him up, give the legs a wash up too. Once you have the legs dried, apply some type of oil (castor, coconut), vaseline or triple antibiotic ointment up the legs (try to work it under the scales).

If you can take photos after you wash him up that would be good. Include some of the bottom of his feet too please.

He’ll never let me bring him inside but I tried cleaning it up a little outside. He’s not a fan of being touched. I was able to scrub it a little with some water and a toothbrush. It doesn’t look too much different. I tried feeling it and It’s hard to the touch. I’m afraid to scrub too hard on it. It doesn’t feel like a string. He also has a black spot in the back that I just noticed. I tried scrubbing that too and it doesn’t look any different. I’ll try to get more pictures but he’s a little feisty.

You can always wait until he's roosting to gather him up. Swaddle him in a towel to capture his wings, he will be much easier to control then.

Enlist a friend, neighbor or family member to help you with him.
