Rooster tail feathers turning white not acting right

I have a two year old Rhode Island red rooster who recently had tail feathers start turning white. My wife today found him sitting in the the yard with the hens pecking on him. His comb and feet are also bloody. He was fine yesterday doing what roosters do and now is lethargic. Any ideas what might be wrong with. I have him isolated and in a warm place.

Did he lose a lot of blood? How long have you had him?
