Rooster takes his collar off

So our rooster, Stetson Jr (aka Michael Cluck Duncan) has discovered that he can crowd loudly. We have neighbors and don't want to be the bad kind of neighbors, so I ordered a no-crow collar.

Meanwhile, I have large cloth velcro straps. He keeps taking it off.. 3 times now.

Is the no-crow as easy to take off? I hope not. Any ideas on how to keep him from taking it off?

The crow is loud enough to wake my wife up, granted his coop is 10' from our window. Our neighbors are at least 50-75' away. I hope the sound dies out by the time it hits THEIR ears.

There are several threads specifically about no crow collars, you might ask there.

A lot of members here don't use them, so we're unable to answer any questions about them. Do a forum search for no crow collar. The threads that would best help you should be at the top, they stay pretty busy.
