Rooster to hen ratio

I would like to know how many hens should one rooster be kept with what a good ratio rooster to hens

This can depend on many things:

How many birds are in the flock.

Will they be free ranging?

What breeds?

Also, it will depend on individual bird personality.

I am also curious of this. I have 3 roosters and 24 hens I also have a disabled rooster would he affect their laying as well? They are a mixed flock.

I have 1 rooster to 3 hens
So it's 2 roosters 6 hens in two different pens but I am thinking and wondering if 1 rooster could cover those 6 hens
Will 1 rooster to 6 hens be ok or should I keep it at 1rooster to 3hens

They say one rooster can cover 10 to 12 hens. That was the ratio in my flock until this years pullets were added. He seemed to cover all the hens well enough. We'll see how he cover the bigger flock.
