Hello All!

So, I have a flock of 8 hen and three roosters. (one millie fleur, one grey Japanese, and one black Japanese). This flock is well established with all three roosters coexisting peacefully and no hens are over mated. All is well.

I bought two roosters and a hen for a poultry show. (A silver ducking pair and a Dominique roo)
I want to be able to introduce and keep all the roosters (except the grey Japanese. He is not show quality) in the pen without fighting. Am I joking? No. Am I insane? Maybe. I just don't want to have to keep them in show cages their whole lives. My flock has a huge coop and a huge chicken run that has 5-foot tall weeds that they can explore like an exotic forest.

Can I use pinless peepers to relax them?
Or am I going to have to cut out all of my existing flock to keep the show birds that I need?
Or is it possible to build a show pen with all the roosters near each other with no hens to fight over?

If you build multiple pens you can keep any configuration of sexes you choose.
You can keep a flock of all males in one pen/coop. However, if you don't need most of those roosters for breeding, you would be better off making them chicken dinner - or give them away to someone else who will do the same.
If you are considering keeping 5 roosters in conjunction with 9 hens in the same foraging space, you are asking for big problems.

There are certain things you put on birds beak to avoide pecking. There is likely no way in heck their not gonna square off,it may not be so bad though.I suggest keeping Seperate pens, and maybe even just a rooster pen.
