I came home today to find 1 Rhode Island hen dead and the other missing. Our new rooster loved his 2 girls SO much
I had plans on buying more hens for his flock, but now he has no girls. The only hen I have, is brooding his babies inside. It's a silkie hen he mated with. Since the death of the hens, he's acting weird. He wont go into the coop, and is acting depressed. Will he be okay? I can't afford anymore hens for a few weeks yet.
Edit..we think a Hawk killed our hens. When I checked the dead hen, our rooster actually sat next to her grooming the poor girl.
