My rooster is 6 weeks old. When we let him out of the pen this evening, he seemed to be holding his left wing low and slightly out from his body. He's flapping it fine, and will put it back in place naturally, but is this something we should be concerned about? The wife seems to think that it's just new feathers coming in making it uncomfortable for him. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Sick birds do allow wings to droop.

Chicks in particular allow wing to droop after vigerous flapping. Muscles used to sold wings in proper resting position also become fatigued by flight or flapping. Used to bother me as an apparent imperfection but no real problem.
