Rooster with comb problem. Help!!!

I noticed a few days ago that my rooster had black spots on his comb. Last night when I went to put them to bed I noticed that the black spots were gone and the area where they had been were raw and seeping blood. Im concerned and hoping someone can help me figure out whats wrong with him. It has been cold here but they have heat lamps in the coop and run.

Welcome to BYC. It would appear that he may be getting pecked on his comb by the other chickens. Is he new to the flock or are there other roosters?

Its just him and 4 hens in my little flock . They have been together since they were chicks.
