Rooster With swollen Toe

My 2 year old Delaware's middle toe is very swollen. If you put your index finger to your thumb to make a circle, its a little smaller then that. It is also red on the bottom. He was acting normal all day, jumping up on the coop to greet me and i'm am pretty sure I saw him eat and drink. Is this a tumor!? a cut? I'm freaking out \he is the nicest rooster I have ever and I don't want to loose him, have lost enough of my flock already.

Check the bottom of his foot. Sometimes a small cut or abrasion can seal over and turn into an abscess or bumblefoot. Bumblefoot looks like a small black spot or scab in the center of a swollen area.
