I have 8 silver laced wyandottes 3 years old and one silver laced wyandotte rooster 8 months old. 1 Drake and 2 ducks, Cayuga Pekin mixed 8 months old that all live in one coop. Feed them all 16 % protein, cracked corn and dryer meal worms. I was getting hen eggs every day until they went into molting a few weeks back. No duck eggs yet. Well yesterday I went into the coop and found a very large egg. I thought it might be from the ducks but when I went in the coop this morning I found 8 more very large eggs! My question is do the silver lace Wyandottes lay larger eggs and change color after they molt?
