My roosters are starting to try to mate with a couple of my pullets they are not very receptive to it yet. they are not laying. I was wondering if that a sign they are going to lay soon or are my roosters just horny.

Your roosters are horny teenagers. How many do you have? Multiple roosters trying to breed the same hen can possibly injure them.

Different breeds mature at different times. My leghorns starting laying at 18 weeks but my orpingtons didn't lay till 25 weeks. Look for their combs to redden when they are getting to the point of lay. In my experience, rooster will try to mount anything that walks, regardless of maturity.:/

Too many roosters I'm keeping 2 eating 3 after seeing that they are moving to the Bachelor pad tonight after they go to bed

Keeping on jersey giant and I believe he the other is a silver duckwing leghorn horn the giant that isn't names turkey dinner is the dominate rooster out of all of them.

The combs are reddening on about 1/2 my ladies if I had to guess I would say my ss or my partridge rocks will be th first layers their haunches are starting to widen out also
