Last spring I purchased 13 chickens.
This spring I suscessfully incubated 8 additional chicks, and added them to the flock, at about 15 weeks
One of the older hens has become broody and is now sitting on 18 eggs in one of the nest boxes.
If she has success, will the new chicks be at risk while sharing common quaters with the other hens and a rooster?
Or should I segregate them?

Sorry it took so long to reply.

It really depends on the flock, the space you have, if there are any dangers of drowning or becoming lost or trapped, ect. I have a hen that attacks young chicks, so I have to keep them and their mother separated from her for the first few weeks of life. Also, it is more difficult to feed them starter food, make sure they don't drown, and prevent predator attacks. However, many people have great success letting the hens raise their chicks with the rest of the flock.

Best of luck!
