After they graduate from the chicken hospital, one of them will be sold or culled.

One of my roosters got roughed up pretty badly. His wattle, comb, and the back of his head are bloody and open. I dabbed with warm water and peroxide, squirted saline on it to try and rinse the blood, and put some antibiotic ointment on the spots that I could tell were open. Then I gave him some water with electrolytes to drink.

How do I maintain his wounds? Both roosters are secluded now-- should I spray with peroxide and water every day? Just re-apply the ointment?

No good pictures, I only had one free hand.

Peroxide only the one time.

Combs, & wattles tend to heal fine on their own with minimal to no involvement. At most I do in these cases is clean with soap, & water, & that's it.
