Do several roosters get along better if they are kept together with no hens better than if there are hens in the pen with them?

Yes, a batchelor flock will normally have a lot less fighting if no hens are around. There will still be some pecking order issues but usually not as violent. I'm saying normally and usually as you are dealing with living animals, so anything can happen but odds are it won't be as bad..

I visited a very busy breeder, lately. I was surprised to see about 6 roosters in his 4x4 "bachelor pad." He said they get along just fine. I was so surprised. I have 3 roosters and 24 hens. The fighting has been vicious at times. I am truly considering the "bachlor pad" idea.

Thanks. I've heard or read that before somewhere. I wanted to see if anyone had done that or seen it. I have three roosters that I want to keep but know that they will fight if they are cooped up with only three hens. I'm going to try it!
