Roosters--how 'mean' is mean?

You are doing the right thing - he needs to know you are at the head of the pecking order. He will either calm down or you will have to do get rid of him by your choice of means. If he does calm down around you only and you have young kids or company over you will need to keep him in an enclosed area. Good luck!

Geeze Pop, don't let this out or they will get you for waterboarding torture!

I had a Rooster, I had a fight with everytime he flew up to attack me, I would boot him with my foot in the chest, just enough to get his attention. He never attacked me after that time.

Hi Christy!
We are practically neighbors--I was at Saddle and Sirloin just last weekend. Thanks for your input!
