Roosters scared of hens

Hi all, I gave away 3 brothers 12 month old kochin/orpington cross roosters to a lad with a largeish flock of mixed poultry (30 or so birds including a few ducks/turkeys). One of the roosters has adjusted pretty well, but the other two are super-scared of the hens (though they are much larger than the ladies) and are hiding in the shed daily. It has been 1 week since I brought them over to the new flock. We are wondering if I will have to retrieve the boys. Any ideas? My friend has tried noise distraction.... he says the ladies are not actually pecking but staring them down and chasing them.

Chickens hate change - give them time to adjust. Meanwhile provide extra feed and water stations to assure they are getting enough to eat and drink.

I agree, I think you get better roosters, when they are intimidated while growing up, a natural fact in a multi-generational flock. They will figure it out.
