Roosters toe seems to be bleeding and I think it may fall off??

I noticed blood in the coop that was under the roosting bar but it was not in the droppings at all. Upon inspection last night my Bantam Cochin Roosters toe is the culprit.It is due to rain here today so I picked him up and brought him into a dog cage in my garage and noticed that one of his toes is like bend backwards and might be falling off? I had no time this morning and the bleeding has stopped so I need to know what I should do when I get home? Should I soak it? It appears to be dried blood that is caked up and maybe why it's no longer bleeding, should I let the toe fall off? Any advice I would appreciate.

I've had roosters lose toes to frostbite, I wouldn't bother with it too much, chickens heal up from stuff really well without much intervention. Is it possible he just has a curled toe? Mine occasionally cut their feet and bleed like crazy, it looks like someone was murdered.

No toe was bent back when I glanced at it this morning, bleeding has stopped but should I soak the foot?

I wouldn't, I have always left things alone. I have seen some heal up from some bad stuff. You could do stuff but I don't think it will change the outcome. It goes against our nature to not help, but it's the best thing that I have found to do for wounds. I separate, but try to keep them within sight of everyone, and let them heal. Occasionally I pull out my bluekote for superficial wounds but deeper ones I leave them alone.

I should add soaking would open the scab that has formed and probably make it bleed again.

That's what I was most afraid of. I only removed him from coop and run this morning as he is mostly outside and it was going to be pouring today so I put him in dog cage in garage will return him to coop tonight.
