Roosting cuteness

I don't have "chicken people" in real life to share this with, but I knew some here might appreciate it. I just came in from the coop and it was so cute to see everyone roosting tonight. I have one 12ft roost over a poop board with one underneath running diagnal across the corner. My 5 16w EE were lined up on the inside end. The 4 11w EEs on the other end. The 11w Buckeye they were raised with right next to them with the four 9w Buff Orpingtons (were joined with the younger EEs when they were 4 weeks old) on the other side of her toward the middle of the roost. The two little 11w Cochins were snuggled together on the lower roost. They had been more mixed up, some sleeping on the poop board, some snuggling on the floor. But tonight they just looked like a jumble of dominoes had arranged themselves in a pattern by age, color, and breed. Anyway, just gave me a chuckle so I thought I'd share.

I know what you mean about not having real life "chicken people", I know my friends think i'm nuts for having pics of the chickens on my phone along with the grandkids.

Awww, I love cute chicken stories! I'm the crazy chicken lady in our neighborhood. Another family has chickens, but we're the crazy ones, lol

I start talking about my chickens and I'm sure my family's eyes glaze over. We were at my nephews birthday party this weekend and I finally had someone to chat with irl and started in about who I've added to my flock lately, I was drawing stares. I heard the man sitting on the other side of my husband, "Is she talking about actual real life chickens? I'm getting such a kick out of the conversation. I've never heard anyone talk about chickens before."
