Roosts

Now that my pullets are getting bigger they seem to be sleeping on top of the nesting boxes. I want to build some roosts this weekend.

Please post some pics of your roosts so I can get some ideas.

I have 8 girls that are free roamers durring the day. I put them in their coop(10x5) at night. Their nesting box takes up the back wall (5x2), I'm looking for something to keep them off of the nesting boxes.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm originally from St Pete. 2x4 with 4" side up. Put your roosts higher than your nest boxes to discourage them from sleeping in them so you won't get poopy eggs.
