I have 2 Rhode Island Red hybrids. When they sleep they go into their nesting boxes. Is this okay? Or should I close them off so they use the roosting pole?

You should close them off, a chicken who sleeps in a nesting box also poops in the box,and that isn't particularly good

Thank you. I thought so. Even though they sleep in one box and lay in another. I have 2 chicks that eventually will need the space
