If you be a mostly DIY'er , do you make your own rope ?

I know how, if I have to, or want a special short piece for something. But there are far more things to be doing instead of spending hours making enough rope to be useable.

Like strolling around on forums .
If it took me hours to make a 20 ft. rope i wouldn't do it either .
