Okay so I got 8 chickens that I raised from the time they were 3 days old. Unfortunately I only ended up with 3 hens and 5 Roosters. My 3 hens were killed before I figured out how they we’re getting in. I have recently bought 5 more hens of different varieties from a chicken swap last weekend. I went to introduce them to my Roosters and they immediately started attacking them. I have separated them and put my Roosters in a separate area in the mean time. Is this normal or are my Roosters being a bunch of bullies. I would get rid of the Roosters but my wife considers them her pets since she helped raised them from the time they were young. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Realistically 5 roosters and 5 hens in the same flock is never going to work. One rooster and five hens might work, but that is questionable. I'd keep the two flocks separate.
