At what age do you cull or sell your Hens? Roosters?

We haven't culled any hens yet, but we usually do our roosters at 16 to 20 weeks at the time they start to fight and draw blood.

It also depends on the breeds. Some meat chickens are ready early. If you have heritage breeds, they take longer to fill out. There's nothing wrong with culling early, but you won't have as much meat.

ok sorry i guess i didn't state my question correctly. I keep my flock and my oldest is now going onto the 2nd winter. how long do hens lay eggs and do you keep them until they stop laying or do you rotate your flock. what about roosters if you have a good rooster do you keep him year after year or do you rotate your roosters and get a younger one.
