Hi pullets and cockerels,
My wife (AZ CHICK) and I have recently started raising chickens as pets and look forward to collecting eggs.
We have 9 chicks which are just over 2 weeks in age. They are already starting to molt and a few are already starting to bump breasts and engage in long staring contests. We wonder if they really know what they are doing or if it is simply instinct. Any guesses?
A couple of our chicks are even imitating dust baths in our fine pine chips bedding. Should we add a real dust bath to our brooder?
Your feedback is welcome.
Cock a doodle doo!
