RotoTilling

Anybody do anything special or different when they till like a certain direction or pattern they like to do for a certain reason?
I start at the perimeter and continue to till around it, moving into untilled ground with each pass until I reach the center. At that point, I again start at the perimeter only go in the opposite direction until I again reach the center. At that time, I call it good.

So in my mind does that like make a worrel pool effect with the soil? As far as mixing it?

I till parallel to the slope of the land. We live in the mtns so everything is sloped. Tilling vertically will cause rainwater runoff to channelize and erode garden soil.
All row plantings are done in same format.

I would do the same under the same conditions. I run my rows north and south because the garden is flat and the prevailing wind is from the west.
