I had a rotten egg break under my broody and its day 8, should I wash off the eggs or leave them? How should I clean them, they dont really stink and I cleaned out the nest box, they have some grass clippings stuck to them. I just dont know if I can rub the bloom off or what not. Im new to hatching chicks and I candles them yesterday and took out all of the infertile ones and cracked them open to make shure I was right and I was. I had one I was questionable so I left it in, it was kind of dark but had no veins that I could see but the egg shell was pretty dark and I was just using my phone light to candle them. So I figured it wouldent hurt to keep it in and then it explodes haha.

If it's still wet, I'd use a dry cloth or paper towel to gently wipe off what you can. If it's dry, I'd just leave it. Getting it wet again is more likely to push it though the shell.
Ok thanks! They were all dry so I will just leave them then
