rouan ducks

does anyone have these kind of ducks? what can you tell me about them.

I have a male/female pair. They are more quiet then my cayugas and are very friendly.

I have two males and a female. My female is very friendly, but the males are a bit more stand-offish. They female is kind of loud but the males are pretty quiet. I really like mine. I'm glad that I got them.

I have a drake. He is very handsome. A bit of a butthead at times, but pretty entertaining.

He was purchased mid March. He started showing signs he was a drake (green shimmer to head feathers) in mid May. That photo was taken in mid June.

Rouens are my favorite breed of duck. All of the ones I've had have been very friendly and not too loud. Depends on the duck though.

Roens are great! Very nice birds and they can learn there names and how to go up at night.

Mine have always been very pleasant to deal with. I had a female crested named Fleur with the loudest voice though. She was the Grand Dame of the duckhouse. First in and out every morning, announcing her presence the entire way.

I find Rouens very charming. Even my drake was pleasant. He rarely harassed the girls (unlike my Blue Swedish drakes!).
