It’s been going on for 3 weeks or more. They’ve laid all winter on a quite regular basis. I’ve fed them 19% layer feed since the fall, they have oyster shells, grit everyday or two they get 1/2 cup of cracked corn/black sunflower seeds. Her eggs always seem to have cracks or seams in them and it looks like the calcium covers the membrane at 2 different stages. Like the calcium process starts, stops and starts again. She also had a shell less egg this week. I have just started letting them free range for 1/2 in the evening this week. We are just starting to see the grass sprouting.
This is not the pullet who went broody in an earlier post, she is now laying again.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Update the eggs don’t always have the rough dark spots
