Let my girls out this morning and found this under the roost in the coop that houses my Olive Egger and Orpington. Here's my issue .....I had a Cochin Bantam that had coccidia (sp?) last week so I have been treated all my girls with 1 1/2 tsp of Corid per gallon. Today is day 4. The bantam is now perfectly fine. Does Corid kill roundworms too? If not can I treat with Wazine along with Corid or should I wait and finish out Corid treatment and then start Wazine? I'm new at this so any advice would be appreciated.

I would wait until your chickens have finished the Corid to worm them, and Corid does not kill worms. I would give them a couple of days of probiotic yogurt and vitamins first and let them recover. You can get some Valbazen and give 1/4 ml for a bantam orally, and repeat it in 10 days to get all chicken worms. Fenbendazole, the ingredient in SafeGuard horse paste or liquid goat wormer, can also be used orally as well, but will only get all of the same worms if used 3-5 days consecutively. Used once, it will kill roundworms, then repeat it in 10 days. Wazine is used in the water for 24 hours, but only kills roundworms. A vet could check some fresh droppings for other chicken worms besides roundworm to see which would work best.

I have 4 bantams and 2 LF. So I would need to treat each individually? I'm new to chickens, I've only had mine since April, so I've never had to give them anything orally.
