I found roundworms in one hens droppingsand she's feeling pretty bad. If I treat her should I treat them all? (11 others) Is there anything I can do to make her feel better? I'm going out to give her the dewormer now.

Now that I'm examining her I'm noticing that all over her body her feathers are broken off mid shaft. There is no evidence of mites. What's going on? When I cleaned the coop just now I did not see any evidence of any dead roundworms in any other poop. Her comb is not bright red and she is listless as I type just sitting here as I type with one hand and pet her with the other.

I would treat them all.
I do mine routinely twice a year whether I see worms or not as they are on the same ground.
It's deffo time for mite season here in the uk so if you suspect them I would go with your gut as often there's none to see.

If her comb is pale, tail down, tatty feathers, poss reddish skin then it sounds mitey to me.
That combined with the worms will certainly make her feel rotten.

I might be tempted to give her a vitamin boost and a little extra protein to help with those feathers.
Go to town on the coop an use sevin dust especially on the roost ends and in their dust baths.

Hope she is soon on the mend x

I have brought her inside and placed her in a crate in a bedroom. Scrambled her an egg (her first, she's only a pullet) but she wouldn't have anything to do with it. She's still interested in water thankfully.

I've never seen feathers break off mid-shaft like this. It's all over her body.

I have seen two broodys do that to each other. I put it down to a protein thing as they were only getting off the nest once a day to have a fast drink eat and poop.
I gave them some wet cat food and did my best to up their protein intake.
The feathers almost looked clipped - like someone had chopped them neatly with shears.
If she won't eat consider assisting her. Often just opening her beak and putting a bit if cat food or scrambled egg in her mouth will be enough to make her eat it.
The pellets are also easy to assist feed them.

Best of luck x

Purchase Valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer and dose all your birds 1/2cc orally undiluted. Use a syringe without a needle to administer the wormer. Redose again in 10 days.

I dewormer her yesterday so the worms she is pooping out now are dead. But she is SO listless. I have her crated in a dark room and visit her every several hours to encourage her to drink and eat. She is doing little of either. I scrambled her another egg but she still will not eat any. Can roundworms make her feel this rotten? Her comb is pale and she can't stay awake. I am beginning to think there is something else going on...

Yes, it's toxic dead worm overload. If she was infested with large roundworms; the wormer paralyzes worms and they could've caused a blockage. What wormer did you use?
This is why I recommend valbazen. It's the only wormer that slowly kills worms over several days, eliminating the possibility of toxic dead worm overload, especially if it's the first time a flock has been wormed.

I have wormed them before. Yesterday the worms were alive. I wormed her last night with Safe-Guard Goat Dewormer, 1/2ml. It's the same dose I did last time and it worked. I was haut mentioning that the worm were alive yesterday and today they are dead when she poops. I also need to dust her for mites.
