It had me upset for quite awhile the nerve of people and the stupidity all in one. I can't believe they would be so stupid to think I wouldn't notice it missing. I'm a great believer in what goes around comes around.

featherbaby you are right, and I got a email from them today Harbor Freight they have it on sale at a great price, and prairiehen, your right "what goes around, comes around 10 times fold", " what you sew you shall weep", I believe it also

I had problems for a while with people stealing from me. I have since put in cameras....... It's amazing what people will do when you aren't at home.

Before I got my cameras, I had someone repeatedly stealing my gas cans from my barn. They had come up missing a couple of times and I locked the barn. well, one day I had filled up 5 -5 gallon cans and brought them home. I got a fire call as soon as I pulled in the driveway so I quickly set them on my front porch and went on the fire call. When I got home, all of my gas cans were missing. I was TICKED! I went to walmart and bought more cans. I put about a half-gallon of gas in each one and filled them the rest of the way with water. I even added a cup of sugar to each can when I got home. I left them on my porch and within 2 days they were gone again.

Noone has stolen from me since. (knock on wood) Ruined a perfectly good engine on a kid's car down the road from me. I swear I could leave a 55 gallon drum of gas out front with a "FREE" sign on it and I don't think anybody would touch it. The neighbors all figured out pretty quickly why the kid's car quit working.

Since I put my cameras in, I caught someone dumping their garbage in my dumpster (I run a business from home)........ They got their garbage back. Funny thing is...... If someone needs to dump garbage, or use some gas...... ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS ASK! I will gladly oblige in most cases...... but sneak around and/or steal from me and I will make you wish you hadn't met me.

Back in frontier days, stealing was a crime punishable by death. I guess they took it a bit more serious than we do now. The problem today is, the punishment for stealing isn't bad enough, quick enough, and certain enough. No, I'm not saying we 'string 'em up' for stealing.....but IF there was a 95% chance of being caught AND a punishment that scared the bejeepers out of people, I think the crime rate would change dramatically. We've gotten soft on morals, soft on crime and good people are being victimized.

Does anybody have a ladder so I can get down off my very high horse? Yep, I'm down now. It's just that times are hard on all of us right now and it seems extra loathesome for someone to needlessly destroy our property or steal our resources.

you can also buy a cheap trail camera and set it up. it will take pictures when it detects motion.

They also make what is called a "python lock" for about $20 and cabelas. This is a cable that you put through the trailcam and wrap around the tree (or whatever) so the camera doesnt get stolen. (here is a link)

Just an idea.

If anyone came onto my property and touched my animals, property or my home it would not go over well!

:jumpy:jumpyI was angry and obcessed and thought up all kinds of mean things to do. Finally had to give up to they will outsmart themselves at some time and I am a kind and gererous person I wouldn't dream of stealing from anyone and I've probably been as far down on my luck as anyone. I've had many people be good to me over the years probably the reason I'm so distrubed to have someone do that sort of thing. Shame on Them. The camera is a great idea and I will get one and let everyone know what happens.
