Well, I couldn't have asked for a better day at the RAWF. Five out of my six birds took home a ribbon. Plus it was my birthday today.
There were over 600 birds at this years event.
From left to right, Miss Sippy, Snowball, & Miss Ohio (silkies)
Miss O was my only chook who didn't get a ribbon. Thats ok, she is still a winner in my book.
Snowball was attacked by a hawk last week. She came in 2nd (White Silkie Hen)
Her half sister Chinook placed 3rd (White Silkie Hen)
Lacy placed 2nd. Pretty good considering she had started to molt a few days ago, & was a little ragged in the tail.
Miss Sippy came in 3rd (Black Silkie Hen)
But the biggest surprise of the day was LUCKY, my 8 year old Belgian D'Uccle. Entered in the AOV Booted Bantam category, she pulled off 1st place. She is my first chook & this win is only the second time she has managed a first at any show. Let alone this being the most prestigious in CANADA.
