Definitely a rooster. He will let anyone know. We thought he was a "mean hen" until he started to crow. Not mean to us, but pretty rough on the hens. We call our other rooster, Ed, "the re-bound rooster", because when Rube goes after the girls he chases him away and "consoles" the offended hen. When she seems calmed down, he reveals his "true intentions". If I could get them to vote someone out of the hen-house each week, I could produce my own "reality show"!
