Rumpless Chicks ?

I am crossing a rumpless Araucana rooster on a few hens of other breeds and hatching the eggs.

What are my chances of getting some chicks that are rumpless ?

The estimate would be 50/50, although I would lean toward more partial tails in this cross. So I would say 25% rumpless, 25% partial tailed and 50% tailed. Of course, it could vary.

That has been my experience(rumpless/'mostly partials'/normal tails).

If the rooster is homozygous rumpless when mated to tailed hens then you should get all rumpless chicks that are heterozygous rumpless. If he is heterozygous rumpless himself then you should have a 50/50 chance for the chicks being also heterozygous rumpless (appearing rumpless). Partial rumplessness is always a possibility.
