I can frame out a door pretty easily with 2x4's, but want to see some pictures of your people door to the run. my goal is to keep the door light-weight to prevent future sagging issues. Thanks.

here's mine. Just 2x4s with hardware and wire.

I used 2x4 cedar because it is so much lighter than treated lumber. Problem is, it costs a lot more. The angle on the top caused some issues with proper "swing," but I resolved them with a saw and chisle. Outside the door I dug a square large enough to accommodate the entire swing of the door, 6 inches deep. I lined the bottom of the hole with landscape fabric and then 1/2 x 1/2 hardware cloth. I covered this with gravel and tamped it down firmly. This way no weeds should grow up in front of the door and predators can't dig under it.

Not a run door, but will be doing my door the same as my inner door.

I took some 2x4 and ripped them right down the center. Then I glued the butted ends with Gorilla glue and screwed them in place. Then I followed up with some corner hardware made just for doors. It's fairly cheap stuff. Screws into two sides, so it holds firm and prevents shifting.
