Run plants

What are some of you planting/having luck with in your chicken run that chickens will not destroy within first week.
Some for shade/protection and others to nibble on from time to time but not a source of everyday feed.

I saw this thread a little while ago. I'm not currently planning on growing anything inside mine, but I was thinking it'd be nice to offer sprouts.

I was thinking of a border of prickly pear, too. The fruit and paddle are both human edible. Haven't seen whether that's the case for chickens.
