The coop is 6x8 with 10 orphs. I am building the run. The original run was 10x8 and about 7 or so ft tall. I was given the coop, birds and run frames. Eventually they will have free range time when they figure out this is home and I am bringing the food. I do know about chicken math, it is just like beekeeping math. ;) Will this be large enough? I will make swings, a small cow shed shelter (chicken size) for water/food, various perch heights. It will be covered with chicken wire or hardware cloth on top. I am also debating if I should cover part of it with those fiberglass panels that are sold for patios.

It is raining today, my thoughts do wander. :p

The run is too small if you want grass or weeds to grow in there for them to eat, but it is big enough for them to get sun and a little exercise. With 10 hens on it there will probably be just dirt. As long as you keep it clean though I don't think it is too small because your coop is quite large as well.

Both coop and run is a bit small for 10.
Might work out OK if run is weather and predator proof so they have both the coop and run space 24/7.
