run size

What is a good size run to have for 16-20 chickens? They will have SOME time to free range, maybe 1-2 hours per day. Also the run will be attatched to a 8x8 coop. Thx for the input!

I have a 10 x 20 ft totally enclosed run attached to their coop which has a gate so I can close them in if I need to. Attached to the run is their free range area which I have fenced in to keep the critters out, as a neighbor who lets hers free range her yard freely, has lost several birds to coyotes during the daytime. My area is 100 x 150ft. using chicken wire. As I need to make it bigger I go and get more wire.
