Runner Duck lost "voice"

I have two young runner ducks. They're about 6-8 weeks old. They have suddenly become very quiet. They're making a sound like a whispered quack. Neither of them have actually every quacked, but have always been very vocal with their whistlie sound. Is this normal?

We have the same problem with one of our runners. There are three of them and one has suddenly started more of a raspy whisper than a quack. Glad to hear this is a normal thing. Will he regain his voice?
