We were not expecting our Runner Duck eggs to start hatching until Thursday. Well.....the little eager beavers started today. We had one hatch before we left for school this morning. How exciting. I hope to get some pictures after they all hatch.

Oh I wish that happened at my place...I have the first egg in the hatcher now...wobbling away... Its not due until Wednesday..but I am very anxious about this first one.
Look forward to seeing some pics of your precious little ones.

Thanks. We were really surprised. My husband does not even know yet. I was cutting on the TV this morning. Before I did, I heard an unusual peep from my kitchen area. I did not even look in that bator b/c I was not expecting them yet. I went to another one. Then I ran to that one. I was very surprised. I cannot wait to tell my husband.

my runners always hatch at least 2 days early, typically when I got to take them out of the turner they have already started. Good luck

Day 28 is actually Thursday of this week. My husband told me I had to stop the turner, which I had known. I am glad I caught it hatching. That could have been bad.

My pekins are hatching early also. This is the first time I ever hatched them, so maybe 26 days is normal.

Hi- I am new to hatching ducks and using this forum so please bear with me! I am hatching mallard ducks and
3 of them hatched 2 days early- the rest are supposed to hatch today(7 more) but none of them have made even
a pip hole.So it looks like early hatching could be a normal thing- is this true? Did I do something wrong? Also how many days should I wait on the others? Thank you:)
