Hello!
I’m still new to raising ducks and had a few questions if anyone could clarify for me!
I’ve got 2 Indian Runner drakes, (I’m certain) they are my only 2, which I hatched myself, who are about 9 weeks old. They’re sweet, friendly with me, have good diet, active, and have constant access to water. Refreshed twice a day, it is plenty deep enough for them to submerge themselves. They grew in their feathers nicely and maybe a week and a half ago, I noticed that they are losing feathers. Looks like a lot of them? I’ve read they molt 2 times a year, sometimes only once.
Are my boys too young to be molt or does it not matter the age?
When is the proper time of year?
It is in the beginning of fall where I’m at in the world.
Is that normal?
I have some pictures I will post as well!
Thanks you!
Because of the lighting in my house it might be kind of hard to see but it’s in his chest area.
That’s molting right?
