all four laying hens are acting normal and no visual signs of abnormality. we've had them three weeks. they are about one year old on average. They are all laying one egg a day as is typical of their breeds (australorp, barred rock and EE).
The water bowl was freezing for several hours at a time, but i've fixed that with a heated waterbowl. The bedding is straw that has been kicked off roosts onto ground. we plan to lay a bedding of chips when a truck becomes available.
They sleep outside in a metal barn. three sleep together and one sleeps alone.
for 1.5 days, one of them is leaving red/brown poop around the yard.
i don't have a camera right now. i'll have it back soon though to post pictures.
While i'm waiting, is this any easy online diagnosis?
