Hi everyone

Is Russian Orloff produce flavorful meat? It seems like they are not consistent egg producers. That is all right with me. I am looking for mostly meat, slow growing chickens.
What breeds are good for meat? Dual-purpose will be great too.

Black Jersey Giants were bred for meat, and are fair egg layers. They were bred to be very large, and are also slow growing.
your other options, for dual purpose, are:
Any of the Rocks (Barred, white etc)
any of the Sussex (Columbian, Corination, Speckled etc)
Orpingtons, Buckeyes, Brahmas (another large, slow growing meat bird that also lays)

I would recommend Orloffs, Brahmas, English Orpingtons or Favorelles for a slow growing, flavorful, table bird. All are not the best layers, but are good slow growing table birds.
