I came across the Russian Orloff (bearded) last year when I found 6 pullets at Tractor Supply. I bought them for my granddaughter so she'd have some chicks to hold, feed, cuddle, etc. Most of my poultry are egg layers & guineas. So the Orloff was a treat. I've fallen in love with them and am in search of either hatching eggs or a straight run of chicks. Stromberg hatchery offers non bearded and a minimum of 25 chicks. Tarbox Hollow offers a mix of bearded/non bearded straight fun and/or hatching eggs. But all three options require a small fortune. Anybody out there raising bearded orloffs? I haven't noticed any post more recent than 2016.
